The Makkay Broadcasting Center and WKKL

The Makkay Broadcasting Center is the home of Cape Cod Community College's radio station, 90.7 WKKL, the only commerical free radio station on the Cape. It has two production studios and an air studio where students who are taking Radio Broadcasting perform a minimium of eight radio shows per semester.There are over 40,000 songs in the station's automated library, Scott Studios.

Besides educating students on how to operate a radio station, WKKL and the Makkay Broadcasting Center are valuable assets to the community. Through hourly PSA's and informative broadcasts WKKL works to create awareness about local problems and issues on Cape Cod.
